1:8th Nitro Offroad World Champion Davide Ongaro from Italy has caused major confusion by winning the wrong Euros. Being a World Champion, and having won numerous major titles, such as The Neo Race, but never a European Championship, his father Mauro set about making sure Davide could finally win a Euros. Mauro managed to convince EFRA to host this years edition on the Ongaro family farm. This is where Davide’s skills have been honed, and it was almost a forgone conclusion that he would finally win.
But it was not to be, as rain, mistakes, and flame outs put an end to the Ongaros' campaign.
However, a couple of weeks later Davide attended the 1:10th Euros in Pinerolo, Italy, and unexpectedly won the 2wd European Championship, the class he has the least experience in.
Word has it that the Ongaros are contemplating attending some major on road races in the future, as Davide has even less experience in on road.
