Xray Purchases European Championship

After pre-covid attempt by Infinity to purchase yet another World Championship failed due to them forgetting one Mugen driver, aptly named Shoki Takahata, Xray have come up with a possibly even better way of securing championships.

The strategy is simple, purchase the races from IFMAR & EFRA, and stack the odds in your favor. The pilot year of 2019 was a great success, with Xray winning the 1:10th Offroad 4wd Class WC as reported here, as well as the 1:12th and 1:10th Electric European Championships.

After a brief 2 year covid break, 2022 saw us return to racing, with Xray successfully

purchasing the 1:8th Electric Offroad and 1:10th Electric on road events. After leaving the track for 4 years with only minor layout changes turned out to not be a large enough advantage for the Slovakian outfit, the decision was made to figure out a fool proof way of securing victory for the onroad event.

Critics among the competitors voiced their displeasure regarding the fact that not only were tires requiring unique and precise knowledge used, but that this knowledge was in part gathered during closed, Xray only test and race days shortly before the big event.

Despite all the criticism, Xray held their official line of "there is nothing to see here, we are just better". When the competing team managers and national representatives turned to EFRA to attempt to fix the breach of international sporting regulations, they quickly realized they were up against a much larger power than first thought, as the EFRA staff were wearing HUDY shirts.

EFRA were contacted for comment, but before a statement can be released they need to hold a few meetings. The next one is scheduled for November 2022, so a comment should be available by the end of 2026.

After the event, critics began questioning the worth of the European Championship won by Bruno Coelho, claiming that he had a distinct advantage. Juraj Hudy, the grand emperor of the Hudy Facility made an official announcement at the prize giving ceremony

I do not accept this unsportsmanlike behavior from our competition. Just because XRAY have now again won everything at our home track, does not mean we have an advantage, we just work harder and are better than you.

Bruno himself finally had the following to say,

Every time I win there is some kind of controversy it seems. I just cannot figure out why. To be honest, going into this event my goal was to become Vice-Champion. I did my best but unfortunately I had to settle for the European Championship.
