Professional RC Racer Jared Tebo has today revealed a hand injury, which sidelines him from his extracurricular activities for the next few weeks. Unlike in other sports, injuries are typically preferred for RC Racers. Tekno RC's owner Daniel Lewis explained
”Jared is a very talented racer, but his motocross, home improvement, and home video filming was getting in the way of racing. Of course I do not wish harm on anyone, but this really could not have happened at a better time. Due to his injury, Jared will now have time to focus on his racing.”
With AMS and the ROAR Nationals just around the corner, Tebo's inury will insure full focus for both of these events.
Additionally, word has reached the RCNews UnLtd offices that Tekno gave Tebo his Motocross bike as a birthday present, and pushed him to enter local events in August, hoping for a minor injury, giving suitable prep time and focus for the 1:10th scale World Championships in September. It is not clear if these plans are altered now due to this surprise injury.
